HAWTHORNE, N.J., February 24, 2009. Hawthorne, N.J. based Premio Foods announced today that the company is the recipient of the Safe Quality Food (SQF) Level 3 certification, with a rating of E (Excellent), recognized under Global Food Safety Initiative (GSFI) standards.
Premio Foods is the only dinner sausage producer on the Eastern Seaboard to achieve this prestigious certification.
The Global Food Safety Initiative (GSFI) is universally recognized as requiring the most stringent food safety standards in order to achieve certification, with safety standards exceeding those of the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and United States Department of Agriculture.
