    Double Dribble Sausage Wraps


     

    Ingredients:

    • 1 16-oz. package Premio Sweet Italian Sausage
    • 8 8-inch tortillas
    • 1 15-oz. can pink beans (drained)
    • 1 green pepper (cut into one-inch strips)
    • 1/2 cup chopped onion
    • 1/3 cup brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup ketchup
    • 1/2 TSP. nutmeg
    • 1 TBSP. prepared mustard
    • 1/8 TSP. cayenne pepper
    • 1 8-oz. package Mozzarella cheese
    How to make Double Dribble Sausage Wraps:

    1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees (F).  Remove casings from sausage
    2. Place sausage in 10-inch skillet and cook over medium heat, breaking up the sausage as it cooks.  Remove from heat and drain off any fat
    3. Add beans, peppers and onions  
    4. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, ketchup, nutmeg, mustard and cayenne pepper.  Add to sausage mixture and blend well
    5. Spoon sausage mixture across each tortilla.  Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese
    6. Gently roll up tortillas.  Use a toothpick to hold each close if necessary
    7. Place on a cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees (F) until hot and cheese is melted.  Serve immediately

    Yields: 8 servings
