    Keilbasa in a Brown Sugar Reduction



    • 5lbs Premio kielbasa cut into 1 to 2 inch sections (sometimes I skin the kielbasa if I have time)
    • 1 medium onion finely chopped
    • 1.5 cups dark brown sugar
    • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper

    How to make Keilbasa in a Brown Sugar Reduction:

    • Place  Premio Kielbasa, brown sugar, pepper and onion in large pot.
    • Cover to the top of kielbasa with water and bring to a boil.
    • Heat over medium flame for 90 minutes to 2 hours, until the brown sugar caramelizes over kielbasa and turns a dark red, onions will disintegrate in the caramelization process.
    • Stir occasionally and turn down heat if kielbasa starts to burn.
    • Serves 8-10
