How to make Ma’s Premio Spaghetti Sauce
In a large heavy bottomed saucepan warm the olive oil over medium/high heat.
Break up Premio Sweet Italian Sausage Meat in the pan (a potato masher is a great tool for this).
Add the onion and garlic and sauté the mix together until the sausage is browned and the onions have become transparent.
Add the 3 cans of tomato as well as the basil, & oregano
Simmer on low heat until flavors have combined – a minimum of a ½ hour. This recipe is easily modified to cater to taste preferences. I sometimes add olives, spinach, or summer squash, mushrooms, peppers, etc. It’s great over your favorite noodles, in lasagna, or as a pizza sauce.
Serves 8-12 depending on preparation
(leftovers freeze perfectly for a quick meal later)
