    Premio Italian Stew


     

    Ingredients:

    • 1 Pkg. Premio Mild Italian sausage (cut 1 inch slices)
    • 3 Cloves garlic (chopped)
    • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
    • 1 Green bell pepper (½ in. slices)
    • 1 Red Bell pepper (½ in. slices)
    • 1 Yellow bell pepper (½ in. slices)
    • 1 Yellow onion (½ in. slices)
    • 8 Roma tomatoes peeled small dice
    • 4-5 Idaho potatoes peeled large dice
    • 8 oz. portabella mushrooms (cleaned, large dice)
    • 1 cup tomato juice
    • 1 cup water
    • 2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
    • 1 Tbsp. oregano (dried)
    • 1 Tbsp. basil (dried)
    • 1 tsp. thyme (dried)
    • 1 Tbsp. salt
    • ¼ cup parmesan cheese grated

    How to make Premio Italian Stew:

    1. Heat large pot med heat add olive oil add Premio Sweet/Mild Italian Sausage brown well.
    2. Add garlic to pot heat 30 seconds, add all remaining ingredients except the sugar. Let simmer until potatoes are tender about 1 hour add water as needed stir every 15 minutes  add sugar check seasoning should be thick hearty stew.
    3. Serve with grated parmesan cheese on top.
