  • Premio Three Meat Chili

    Premio Three Meat Chili



    • 1 lb. ground beef (cooked and drained)
    • 2 lbs. ground Premio Sweet/Mild Italian Sausage (cooked and drained) [if you like hot you could use the hot sausage]
    • 2 cans (28 oz.) diced tomatoes (undrained)
    • 2 cans (15-16 oz.) red pinto beans and kidney beans (rinsed and drained),
    • 1 lb. smoked kielbasa (sliced and halved cooked in pan to lightly brown)
    • 2 large onions (diced)
    • 2 large green peppers (diced)
    • 2 cans (8 oz.) tomato sauce,
    • 2/3 Cup sweet honey BBQ sauce
    • ½ Cup packed brown sugar
    • 2 Tbsp. chili powder
    • 2 tsp. ground mustard
    • 1 tsp. dried oregano
    • ½ -1 tsp. cumin
    • ½ tsp. cayenne pepper (if you like it hot)
    • ½  tsp. crushed red pepper flakes (if you like it hot)
    • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
    How to make Premio Three Meat Chili:

    1. In large Dutch oven or pan, brown ground beef, then brown Italian sausage and then cook kielbasa, draining all grease.
    2. Place the meats back in Dutch oven or large pan and add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
    3. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1-3 hours on low heat stirring occasionally.  (Also, you it can be done in a slow cooker on low for 6-8 hours. Serve with a dollop of sour cream and shredded cheese).
