    Spicy Premio Chorizo Baked Beans


     

    Ingredients:

    • 1 package Premio Mexican Chorizo
    • 1/3 lb. pork belly cooked & cubes (can use salt pork)
    • 2 (28 oz.) cans baked beans
    • 8 oz. ketchup
    • 2 tbsp. mustard
    • 1 tbsp. liquid smoke
    • 1/4 cup brown sugar
    • 1.5 tbsp. cumin (ground)
    • 1 tbsp. cocoa powder (unsweetened)
    • 2 tsp. chipotle chili powder
    • 1/2 tsp. cloves (ground)
    • 1 medium onion (chopped)
    • 1 medium green pepper (chopped)
    • 1 jalapeno pepper (chopped)
    • 4-5 garlic cloves (minced)
    • 8 slices bacon

    How to make Spicy Premio Chorizo Baked Beans:

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Remove Premio Mexican Chorizo from casing.
    2. In a large, heated skillet, fry sausage until golden brown.
    3. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients except the bacon.
    4. Pour bean mixture into a 16” x 10” casserole dish. Top with bacon slices and cover with foil.
    5. Bake for approximately 40-45 minutes. When done, remove foil and cook for an additional 15 minutes or until bacon is crispy.
    6. Remove oven dish from oven and allow beans to rest. Enjoy
    Yields: 8-10

    Cook Time: 1 Hour
