Premio Sausage & Pepper Primavera

Ingredients:

1 pound Premio Premio’s Sweet Italian Sausage
1 clove garlic, sliced
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
2 bell peppers, thinly sliced
1 large onion, sliced
1 carrot, diced
2 cans of Italian-style stewed tomatoes
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce 1 pound of your favorite pasta, cooked according to package directions

  • Always cook pork sausage to a minimum internal temperature of 160° F using a meat thermometer.
  • Always cook chicken sausage to a minimum internal temperature of 165° F using a meat thermometer.

How to make Premio Sausage & Pepper Primavera:

1. In a large, deep frying pan, saute the Premio Sausage with olive oil until golden brown. Remove sausage.

2. Using the same pan, add the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer.

3. Slice the sausage horizontally and return to the pan. Simmer for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour onto your favorite pasta and enjoy.
