Ingredients:
1 pound Premio Premio’s Sweet Italian Sausage, thinly sliced 2 cups uncooked pasta
1 cup red bell pepper, chopped
1 yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 cup skim milk
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspon salt
1 teaspoon ground white pepper
1 teaspoon fresh chopped basil leaves
1 1/2 cups sour cream
2 ounces finley crumbled blue cheese
- Always cook pork sausage to a minimum internal temperature of 160° F using a meat thermometer.
- Always cook chicken sausage to a minimum internal temperature of 165° F using a meat thermometer.
How to make Blue Cheese and Premio:
1. In a skillet, cook Premio Sausage according to package directions. Drain.
2. In a large pot, cook pasta according to package directions. Add zucchini and bell peppers for the last 3 minutes of cooking.
3. While pasta and vegetables are cooking, mix milk, flour, salt and basil in 1-quart saucepan. Heat to boiling over low heat, stirring constantly. Boil and stir for 1-2 minutes. Stir in sour cream; heat through.
4. Drain pasta and vegetables; stir in cheese. Pour sour cream sauce over pasta, sausage slices and vegetables; toss to serve.
