Ingredients:
1 (16 ounce) package Premio Sausage (choose your favorite)
1 cup crumbled goat cheese
1 medium ripe tomato, seeded completely and finely diced
1 small onion, finely chopped
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
2 (10-oz) tubes refrigerated flaky biscuits
- Always cook pork sausage to a minimum internal temperature of 160° F using a meat thermometer.
- Always cook chicken sausage to a minimum internal temperature of 165° F using a meat thermometer.
How to make Cajun Sausage and Goat Cheese Mini Tarts:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees (F). Brown bacon in a large skillet and remove to a paper towel to drain.
2. Remove casing from Premio Cajun Sausage and combine with goat cheese, tomato, onion, mayonnaise and basil in a large bowl.
3. Divide each biscuit in half, horizontally, and place a half in the cup of a greased mini-muffin cup, pressing gently to fit.
4. Spoon 1 tablespoon filling into each cup and bake 10 to 15 minutes. Serve warm.
