Ingredients:
2 pounds Premio Hot Italian Sausage
3 tablespoons salt
8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese
2 jars tomato-basil pasta sauce
- Always cook pork sausage to a minimum internal temperature of 160° F using a meat thermometer.
- Always cook chicken sausage to a minimum internal temperature of 165° F using a meat thermometer.
How to make Gisella's Peppy Pasta Dinner:
1. Slice Premio Sausage on the bias into 1/2-inch slices. Saute in a pan until golden brown on both sides. Drain and set aside.
2. Boil water for pasta; add salt.
3. Cube the fresh mozzarella into about 1/4 inch cubes; set aside. Add pasta to boiling water as per directions on box.
4. 4 minutes before pasta is done, microwave tomato-basil sauce on high 3-4 minutes. Carefully remove from microwave.
5. Drain pasta thoroughly; add the Premio Hot Italian Sausage and sauce. Mix well, then add the cubed fresh mozzarella; mix thoroughly. Serve with fresh grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese on top.
