Ingredients:
1 package Premio Premio’s Sweet Italian Sausage
2 packages frozen chopped spinach, thawed
Garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste
1 ( 8 ounce) package shredded mozzarella
2 pie crust shells
- Always cook pork sausage to a minimum internal temperature of 160° F using a meat thermometer.
- Always cook chicken sausage to a minimum internal temperature of 165° F using a meat thermometer.
How to make Italian Spinach Pie:
1. Remove Premio Sweet Italian Sausage from casings and saute with chopped onion until cooked. Drain fat.
2. Cook and drain spinach removing excess water.
3. Mix sausage, onion, spinach, garlic powder, salt and pepper together. Place into 9-inch pie shell. Top with mozzarella.
4. Cover with top crust and bake at 375 degrees (F) until crust is nicely brown, about 30-40 minutes.
