Ingredients:
1 pound Premio Chorizo Sausage, sliced
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
1/4 cup chicken broth
1 6 ounce can tomatoe paste
1 cup reduced fat shredded cheddar
16 ounces spaghetti, cooked
1/2 cup salsa
- Always cook pork sausage to a minimum internal temperature of 160° F using a meat thermometer.
- Always cook chicken sausage to a minimum internal temperature of 165° F using a meat thermometer.
How to make Mexican Spaghetti:
1. Heat large skillet over medium-high heat. Coat pan with cooking spray and add Premio Chorizo Sausage; cook five minutes or until browned.
2. Stir in chili powder, cumin, salt and pepper; cook for 1 minute, stirring often.
3. Stir in broth and tomato paste; cook for 2 minutes, until thickens.
4. Prepare spaghetti according to package directions. Once spaghetti is cooked, mix with sauce and serve.
