Ingredients:
1 package Premio Chorizo Sausage
1 bottle Goya Sofrito
2 cups white rice
Few strips of pre-cooked bacon, cut into pieces
Green olives
B&W peppers
Olive oil
1 can red kidney beans
- Always cook pork sausage to a minimum internal temperature of 160° F using a meat thermometer.
- Always cook chicken sausage to a minimum internal temperature of 165° F using a meat thermometer.
How to make Rice and Beans ala Premio Chorizo:
1. Coat a large pot with olive oil. Cut the Premio Sausage into pieces; add to the pot and brown, according to package directions.
2. Add pre-cooked bacon, Goya Sazon packets, 3 tablespoons of the Sofrito, 2 cups of rice, olives, peppers and water. Simmer for about 20-30 minutes, constantly adding water and mixing the ingredients. Serve warm; enjoy!
