Sicilian Sausage Patty Surprize

Ingredients:

4 Premio Hot & Spicy Italian Chicken Sausage links
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
1 handfull dried currents, raisens or cranberries
1 egg
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
Salt, pepper and red pepper flakes, to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup sweet Vermouth or Marsala wine

  • Always cook pork sausage to a minimum internal temperature of 160° F using a meat thermometer.
  • Always cook chicken sausage to a minimum internal temperature of 165° F using a meat thermometer.

How to make Sicilian Sausage Patty Surprize:

1. In a large bowl, mix together all of the ingredients with your hands. Once thoroughly mixed, form into patties.

2. Heat a frying pan with some olive oil and sear the patties on both sides. Add some sweet vermouth or Marsala wine and turn down the heat to simmer. Cover until done, about 20 to 25 minutes. Remove and let cool; serve.
