Sweet n Savory Sausage

Ingredients:

2 packages Premio Hot Italian Sausage
2 packages Premio Sweet Italian Chicken Sausage

Cornbread mix
4 pieces bacon, cooked and crumbled
3 scallions, chopped
3 large Vidalia or sweet onions, sliced
1 teaspoon oregano
Olive oil
Honey for drizzling
Kosher salt
Pepper
Water

  • Always cook pork sausage to a minimum internal temperature of 160° F using a meat thermometer.
  • Always cook chicken sausage to a minimum internal temperature of 165° F using a meat thermometer.

How to make Sweet n Savory Sausage:

1. Grill Premio Sausages according to package directions.

2. In a frying pan, add chopped onions to pan and cook.

3. In a separate frying pan, add 4 slices of bacon and fry until crispy. Add scallions; drain and set aside.

4. Prepare muffin mix as directed on box. Add bacon, scallions, and oregano to mix. Place muffin mix, by the tablespoon, onto the hot skillet.

5. Cook muffins until slightly browned (don’t overcook or they’ll be dry). Plate the sausage with the onions on top, with 2 muffins on the side and drizzle with honey.
